What is a surface?
A surface is an extensible area you embed into your product — a panel, sidebar, or section where Rough-powered features can live. You control where it appears and what it can access.
What is the feature queue?
When a feature is built using Rough, it enters a processing queue. Free plan features go through a standard queue, which can involve a wait during busy periods. Paid plans get priority queue access, so features process immediately.
Can I start on Startup and move to Growth later?
Yes. Startup is designed to get you live quickly. When you're ready to expand, book a call and we'll handle the transition.
What are token costs?
Rough uses AI to power the feature builder. Token costs cover the underlying AI usage and are billed separately based on how much your team builds. We handle all token management on your behalf — you won't need to deal with API keys or provider accounts.
